Centaury

People who are naturally kind and gentle and eager to please, and who like to be of service to others. We take this remedy when we find it hard to say "no" to requests for help, or feel that other people are taking advantage of us.

The positive quality is a quiet inner strength that allows us to set boundaries and serve when we wish, without losing sight of our own personalities and needs.

Agrimony

When we hide our worries, fears, and unhappiness behind a facade of cheerfulness. We take this remedy when we suffer inwardly but pretend to the outside world that there is nothing wrong and use a laugh or a smile to mask how we feel.

The positive quality of this remedy is to ease inner torture and bring about a return of genuine happiness.

Holly

Holly Strong negative emotions such as spite, hatred, jealousy, envy, suspicion, and the desire to take revenge. The Holly state is one where we want to hurt someone because we feel (often without cause) that we ourselves have been attacked or wronged.

The positive qualities of this remedy are forgiveness and love.

Walnut

When the environment or the opinions and ideas of other people affect us adversely; when change leaves us unsettled. We take this remedy when we feel that some outside influence is distracting us from our own path. Walnut is often used at times of change as well, when we feel we are slow to adapt to new circumstances, maybe new school, home or change in a situation.

The positive quality of this remedy is a feeling of constancy and protection from outside influences; we can grow and adjust yet remain ourselves.
