Uncertainty (Cerato, Gentian, Gorse, Hornbeam, Scleranthus, Wild Oat, Mustard)

This is a large category but its for those who experience uncertainty lack their own judgement, for feelings of discouragement when faced with setbacks, for feeling of hopelessness, for feelings of mental fatigue, for indecisions or mood swings, for those who are trying to find their life path, or for those who have sudden feelings of sadness or depression without apparent cause.

Hornbeam

Mental and emotional weariness at the thought of what lies ahead, its like the Monday morning feeling. We take this remedy when everything seems too much work and too much bother, so that we procrastinate and find it difficult to get started on our tasks.

The positive quality of the remedy is a renewed realisation that we do have the strength we need to face the day and get started.

Cerato

People who question their own judgement and seek the guidance, reassurance, or confirmation of others. We take this remedy when we lack confidence in our ability to make good choices, even though we often know in our hearts what we want to do.

The positive quality of the remedy is renewed faith in our own intuition.

Gentian

Feeling discouraged by setbacks. We take this remedy when we have suffered a disappointment or something has gone wrong, leaving us feeling disheartened but nas andrely without hope.

Positive quality of the remedy is renewed faith in a positive outcome, which allows us to dismiss doubt more quickly and try again.

Gorse

Deciding to give up hope. In a Gorse state we believe that nothing will improve our situation and so we choose not to try new solutions; or if we do try, we are pessimistic before we begin.

The positive quality of the remedy is the return of hope and a willingness to try and try again.

Scleranthus

Finding it difficult to make decisions between two (or more) options. We take this remedy when we hesitate over decisions, first one thing seeming right then the other, until we don't know what to choose.

The positive quality of the remedy is greater certainty in decision-making so that most choices can be made quickly and easily.

Wild Oat

Being ambitious to do something worthwhile in life but lacking a sense of direction. We take this remedy when we need help to find our true purpose and right path. In a Wild Oat state, we are searching for something meaningful and the failure to find a direction leaves us frustrated and dissatisfied.

The positive quality of the remedy is to help us to find our path.
